RUSTIC APARTMENTS

These Rustic Apartments lie at the otuskirts of Carrapateira, a 15 min walk through dunes and lagoon that lead to the see. 

Located in the middle of a national park they are surrounded by sand dunes, beach, forests and hills. Whether accessing some of the best surf beaches in SW Portugal is on your agenda or exploring the eucalyptus forests and green rolling hills, the palce has it all.

There is opportunity to share vegetarian meal, freshly prepared from the organic garden, or you may like to tempt your taste buds with some locally prepared Portugese cuisine just up the road in Carrapateira. Lively Sagres and Lagos are about 30 Km away and coast up north is abundant in beautiful beaches and restaurants.

The rooms and apartments were all lovingly restored by hand, keeping elements of its traditional Portuguese heritage with whitewashed mudbrick and stone walls. They are made of natural material such as stone, clay, reed and eucalyptus.

Each apartment has its own unique spirit. There are two levels, the bathroom and living room area on the ground floor, with a handcrafted eucalyptus staircase leading to the bamboo covered loft above. All apartments feature a large 2 person bath tub, a queen sized bed in the loft and a trundle bed is available for an extra person downstairs. Linen is provided. Rooms are equipped with a kitchenette inc fridge, gas burner, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.

Surf
La costa suroeste del Algarve es una zona salvaje y poco frecuentada, aunque a solo unos minutos de los famosos balnearios de Sagres y Lagos. Esta costa es uno de los principales destinos de surf para surferos del mundo entero, donde las largas olas generadas por el potente swell del Atlántico rompen en anchas playas de arenas. Dependiendo de la dirección del viento y del swell, las olas rompen en la costa oeste ó la costa sur, ofreciendo siempre una alternativa en función de las condiciones meteorológicas. Ambas costas distan de un máximo de treinta kilómetros.

Algarve
La vita nell´ Algarve non si limita al Surf e c´é una quantitá di attivitá alternative nella zona. Potrai praticare il windsurf, kitesurf, wakeboard, vela, pesca in alto mare, immersioni, mountain bike, passeggiate a cavallo e di notte godere della vita notturna di Lagos, la capitale turística dell´ Algarve. Lagos ha innumerabili bar, caffetterie, ristoranti e discoteche. Visita obbligata al Red Eye, Eddie's Bar, 3 Monkeys e musica dal vivo in Bahía Beach e Meia Praia. La vita notturna in Sagres: "Dromedario" Reggea nights e "Agua Salgada" house music. Il cibo é eccellente, economico e specializzato in pesce fresco, accompagnato da buon vino e birre portoghesi - "Sagres" non solo é il nome di una cittá turistica portoghese, ma anche di una famosa marca di birra locale !

L´ Algarve é la regione piú al sud del Portogallo, estendendosi al largo dell´ Oceano Atlantico dalla frontiera Spagnola fino al Cabo San Vicente, il punto estremo sudovest d´ Europa. Fu l´ ultimo territorio Portoghese riconquistato ai mori nel 1292 e la sua presenza é tuttora visibile nell´ architettura della regione, con le sue pittoresche case bianche che contrastano con la terra rossiccia, il verde della vegetazione e l´ azzurro del cielo. Protetto dai freddi venti del nord dalla Sierra de Monchique e orientato a pieno sud, l´ Algarve gode di un clima privilegiato tutto l´ anno e di una terra fertile, coperta da aranci, fichi e mandorli. La costa sud si estende lungo una immensa spiaggia di sabbia fina, solo interrotta da spettacolari scogli rossicci. La costa ovest é la piú selvaggia e il mare piú intrepido, con una successione di spiagge e cale solitarie, solo accessibili da piste di terra.
